Yo Dirt Runners! You’ll be receiving your information packets in the mail any day now (as long as you signed up before 1/29/10)! Check out this link for some of the info you will receive in your info packet. If you sign up the week of 2/1/10 we’ll continue to mail out info packets each day you sign up….until 2/8/10. If you sign up on or after 2/8/10 you can pick up your info packets when you pick up your bib, shirt & timing tags at packet pickup. See you in the Swamp!

Race Instructions:
2010 instructions will be posted about 3-4 weeks before the event.
Directions: 301 runs through Dade City, about half way through town, head east on River Rd. 5 Miles, follow County Park signs. Turn right on Auton Rd. then left into the park. Continue straight into park, right on Big Ma’s Way to Dirt Quarters.
Team Relay 50 Mile Start: 7:30am
Check-In: Each team captain or designated team member must check in Friday night. or Saturday morning, before the start. Number bibs & last minute information will be handed out. Friday Check-in is from 4-8 PM. Saturday-race day opens at 5 AM. Try to make the Friday Check-in!
Official Vehicle Sign: Must be displayed in rear window! ONLY ONE VEHICLE PER TEAM. No motor homes, rickshaws or buses … but any big 4 wheeler will do. Follow the parking signs and volunteers. There is a system. Although the engineers think not.
Daily Park Pass: No park pass required to run in DWD Green Swamp.
Pre-Race Parking & Car Pool: Park in designated areas. Please car pool to the event in one vehicle.
Dirt Numbers: All runners must wear race number visible on the front. Each team will receive 5 identical race bibs/numbers. Last runner on your team must wear the timing tag (will be given to your team at packet pickup) on his/her shoe. Ultra and Marathon numbers will be different than relay teams.

Awards & Refreshments: Awards ceremonies, food and refreshments at the finish area from 2:30 – 6: 00 PM.
Relay Team Awards: Top 20% handicapped adjusted teams. Top 3 teams across the line (no handicap). Relay Ceremonies by 5:30 PM. Yes, that’s just 10 hours after the start, some teams will be out on the course but likely not in the running unless they have a high handicap = old & sexy. If this happens we will have a ceremony just for them
Creative Team Vehicle & Theme Awards: 3 deep! First Place includes free entry to next year's Dances with Dirt! All winning teams get cool stuff. Other surprise awards during the race for cool teams and outrageous behavior.
